Not Solved RE: Buildroot Linux XBMC for DroidTV MX
I have a huge network issue with this build, the hardware im using is a little different but basically the same... If i flash the box with it plugged into the network I dont ever get an option to select wifi again and also if after rebooting a few times the box seems to be stuck with whatever network settings it had forever(or until i flash it again()

Anyone noticed or tested the new Linux release for MX by Croniccory? -> click here

I wonder if SPDIF output works, other than that Cory claims the build is stable with some minor issues.

It supports the g18ref and mx2ref boards.

Bugs
- Selecting Shutdown from the power menu causes freeze (Confirmed on Cory's device)
- Visualization screensavers cause freeze (Confirmed on Cory's device)
- Restarting after changing network settings causes freeze (Testing)
- Maybe More

I can confirm this is identical to your build and suffers the same issues.

It make no odds wether the offending HD 1080 TS streams are fed from ethernet or USB

It does look like a cache problem though as you can get video to appear and the logs complain about no data.

Increasing caching to 20Mb make no differnce but as its not a stream source problem thats not surprising

any BBC HD stream will cause the issue

Once it connects to my wifi, It will no longer connect to any other network. I have tried several times and have reloaded. Any pointers? Thank you

Looks like Corey is really getting into this. He already fixed a few issues and is almost ready to release version 0.3.
I hope Kostya and Corey will collaborate. Those two together should be able to fix most any issues there are. I'm getting excited here! Smile

Has anyone tried audio-output (Dolby digital, AC3 throughput) through SPDIF yet?

SPDIF ac3 and DTS works on both builds without issue.

in theory aac5.1 trueHD etc should work as well as its using the tried and test AE from xbmc.

Thanks awaldram, I will give it a try. It looks promising, even though I don't like the idea of not being able to browse the internet anymore.
Corey seems to be on a roll, he released version V0.03 and is working to fixing quite a few issues.

Not Solved RE: Buildroot Linux XBMC for DroidTV MX
Today I have received more recent FW release from Corey with the cache buffer implemented - http://d-h.st/7OU There is still issue with the long videos stopping before there over, so if you could test try HD episodes or short videos.
Thank you.
