Hi guys,
Thanks for continuing support for this great product (which I use daily btw).
Does this firmware work with the g02 ref board?
is the XBMC version Gotham?
Thanks!

For those who have problems with boxes after install, please refer to previous comments: http://forum.androidgadget.co.uk/showthr...676&page=3
That might happen with boxes that have different hardware components.

Note: this FW is based on the latest amlogic sources and is much better optimized performance wise.

Not Solved RE: DroidTV MX firmware 2014 May
Many thanks for the continuing support of this platform it is deeply appreciated.

I have given this new firmware a go and unfortunately I had frequent crashing of XBMC (for those who are not aware the version of XMBC included is 12.4). I could not get XBMC to be stable with the default skin and any movies loaded into it. Sometimes I would load it up for XBMC to simply crash. I loaded the previous firmware version from July '13 (I had backed up my userdata) and once again I can run Aeon MQ5 Skin with all my movies and Tv shows no problem.

I can only assume that I have a unit with different hardware components. A shame I was hoping for the cure to the occasional brief picture blackout (but audio fine) issue I encounter, however this issue is minor enough that I can live with it.

I will wait or the next firmware release, hopefully, with XBMC Gotham on it perhaps.

Once again thanks for your efforts.

Ok, took the leap of faith...
So far everything works, interface looks very good and very smooth operation.
I've left the SD inside to do the extra installs and it ended up with no display after a couple of mins... So I turned it off and on using the remote and it started to work again. hopefully nothing will be affected by this.
Some interesting findings:
1) XBMC version is Frodo 12.4.
2) No Gmail or Youtube installed by default (but should be easily installed in Playstore - haven't tried yet)
3) XBMC works very well.
Just one note: I've used the Droid wizard and had to delete the favorites.xml because it was filled with over a 100 selections so removing manually would have taken forever.
Great work! and thanks!
P.S. don't forget to leave the SD card for several minutes after first boot since it still installs applications.
