@fomaim, what exactly doesn't work for you? You can't make a recovery sd card or something else?

Hello Evgeniy,

I speak only Portuguese, I'm translating via google translate. I'll try to explain.

I was instarlar Prometheus unlock the rom to be able to put the latest version 625. when I started the installation of the Prometheus it was looped, for about 5 min. so when she hung up the phone and took it to start again the power cord.
After that the box is not launched yet, only light blue lights and tried both procedures without success.
I saw reports that doing the jumper on the chip photo light blinked 3 times and then starts the installation of the firmware recovery, but it is not happening these flashes of the led, much less is installing the firmware.
Only I doubted whether I could short and blew her off before connecting or get along with her on. Anyway, I did all ways, including holding the reset button on the A / V + short on the chip and connecting the power cord and nothing happens.

Thanks for being helping.

@djhyperd:
read my post in http://forum.androidgadget.co.uk/showthr...37&page=12 (check my post #117)

After you flash Prometheus it will loop again and again, it's ok, just wait until it reboot, during startup before it flashes again, you have to remove the power plug.
And then, change the firmware file to your preference, and repeat the flash procedure again.
This time should only flashes 1 time only, after it reboots, you will enter the android menu not recovery menu instead.

I've repeated this procedure over 3 times, when I want to change to other firmware.
Hope it helps.

PS: I flashes over 3 times, (even downgrade from 4.21 to 4.12 and back to 4.21 again) without opening the tv box.

Not Solved RE: [HOW-TO] Unbrick DroidTV MX
Hi floydy007,

I had the same issue and tried every procedure to get my MX into recovery mode.

I then downloaded the Prometheus firmware update, pressed the recovery button, booted up, and waited a little longer at the AndroidGadget.co.uk splash screen. All of a sudden the recovery procedure started

The promtheus update failed and trying to re-install the latest custom firmware continued to hang. It's almost as if the boot loader becomes corrupted! So I searched for an older firmware and installed Part 2 from the @9 firmware update. It installed fine and I was able to load the latest MX update over it

Here are the step by step instructions

1.) Follow the procedure here to create a recovery SD card but use the Prometehus firmware instead
http://forum.androidgadget.co.uk/showthread.php?tid=161

Prometheus firmware update
https://mega.co.nz/#!UpQQkQwQ!DsSf_TySlJ...55tbj-fH64

2.) Wait for it to fail and then recover using update 2 from this pack
http://goo.gl/IbYgq

3.) Once you've booted into the @9 update, recover the firmware to the most recent MX firmware version

ps - I did do the shorting the pin trick but don't think it actually made a difference because I managed to boot into recovery mode after putting my MX Box back together. The only thing I did different was try other firmware updates. Just make sure you create the bootable SD card correctly and be a little patient at the androidgadget splash screen (30 seconds should do it). An invalid firmware update on the SD card will also just show the splash screen. A quick and dirty test is to wait 20 seconds and pull out your SD card - you should see the recovery prompt

Good Luck
